Dr. Lesley Reece is a Palliative Care physician of over 18 years experience. A medical graduate of the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, Trinidad, her experience as a physician began in the Barbados government health service, working in the island’s polyclinics for the first two years of her career. She then transitioned to private practice, with a special interest and focus in domiciliary care. Stemming from this, there was a natural progression to Palliative Medicine, a subspecialty in which she has successfully completed a fellowship with the esteemed Institute of Palliative Medicine in Kerala, India. Dr. Reece can also boast of being one of the few physicians on the island with experience in non-emergent medical transportation of patients, via commercial flights.

Dr. Reece is a confident and knowledgeable physician, with excellent bedside manner, delightfully engaging personality and calm, humble demeanor. In addition to supporting patients through a most difficult period of their lives, her mission is to educate as many others as possible about Palliative Care, especially with respect to maintaining quality of life and ensuring patients’ dignity.
